On Wednesday, May 15, the House Ag Committee passed the King Amendment, a measure some say could take away states’ rights to label GMOs.
If the King Amendment survives to the final version of the Farm Bill 2013, and is passed by Congress, some say it could preempt states’ rights to label GMOs. And if it doesn’t, will another rider or amendment be introduced into the final bill that would threaten state labeling laws.
Even though On Saturday, May 25, an estimated two million protesters from 436 cities, 58 countries and six continents hit the streets in protest of the world’s most hated corporation.
