Conversation Cafe for Food Entrepreneurs came up about how can we help support other food start-ups, and about expanding our vision.

Most MeetUps are about networking and education, which is good except how often do you really get to know someone? I do enjoy MeetUps, many people join and may not participate, why’s that? Our time is valuable. It depends upon the distance to drive, topics and such.

Rather than just be another networking group, the intention to me is, make it meaningful. A group that meets in Mountainview for a conversational cafe, inspired me to begin how we could get a community started and engaged.

You probably have heard of Conversation Circles.. this is what I gleaned:
Conversation Circles are an old technology. The Conversation Circle has many names: elder’s council, leadership circle, campfire circle, roundtable, and many more. They all result in the same form – people gathering in a circle to think together. Circles naturally slow people down, allow people to focus, create equality, and connect. read more on their website.

There is also Conversational Cafes, it doesn’t look like they are still active. Good ideas if you like the concept of a Conversation Cafe.
