It’s actually too expensive to even consider starting a food business.

You know, I have to agree with you.

From all the people I spoke to when I was doing my research whether it’s feasible to build a kitchen or not, it was the costs. Ok, leasing rates can be expensive, for a new kitchen to get developed. It will cost $100/sq ft. I found the reason why shared kitchen rentals are so expensive is that there is a shortage of kitchens. The current owners are just charging more.

To pursue this, I knew in my heart I was going in the right direction. Not every kitchen serves everyone. Some are just bakery kitchens, some are just for food trucks, some are just for caterers… and many other kinds. Food 4 Social Change’s Kitchen is about serving Startup’s.

Once I began my research, I had people calling me, I really need a kitchen, that is clean, that is affordable!!

Now, that a Crowdfunding Campaign has been launched, in order for me to support you The Food Entrepreneur, I would like you to share the campaign. Contribute as much as you can give. In order to have an affordable kitchen, it needs to be funded.

The more we pull together and cooperate, the faster we can get the kitchen built. For locations it really depends upon where buildings are available. Anywhere from Hayward, San Jose, Santa Clara, someone even suggested Menlo park. Going to an area that is underserved is the best.

We’ll be offering full kitchen services, Business Development programs, an Accelerator Cafe, a garden, cooking classes, culinary classes.. Add much more as we grow to help you grow.

Stay close…
