The California Center for Cooperative Development invites you to join them in celebrating national 2015 Co-op Month by recognizing the many ways that co-ops build a better world through equality, democratic control, ownership, and cooperation!
October has been designated as Co-op Month since 1964. Annual Co-op Month celebrations play a key role in promoting cooperatives to cooperative members, the public and policy makers. Co-op month events help raise the visibility of cooperatives, and improve public understanding of this distinctive business model.
In the past, the Davis Food Co-op has kindly hosted Co-op Day at the Market, and many of us have participated with a booth at the Wednesday Davis Farmers Market. Co-op Day at the Market offers an opportunity to introduce our individual cooperative enterprises and our Cooperative Values to thousands of happy Farmers Market attendees.
This year Co-op Day at the Market will be held on Wednesday, October 21 from 4:30pm – 8:30pm and hosted by the California Center for Cooperative Development. We hope that you will participate! As in the past there is no charge for booth space—just bring your own table, chairs, signage, and swag.
Please RSVP to CCCD by Wednesday, October 14 – firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 530/297-1032.
